We're adding to the Point of Difference Portfolio

We’re very excited to share that, as of beginning of August, we will have three offices available to rent in the most beautiful building located in central Banbury – The Manse – just up from the iconic Banbury Cross and the ‘Fine Lady on a White Horse’.

Like many of the properties we look for, refurb and bring back to life, this one is steeped in history and retains many of its original features which adds character to each office. Beautiful cast iron fireplaces, encaustic tiles, beams and decorative exterior brickwork. The building is stunning – inside and out.

What ticks our boxes?

Sadly, we have all experienced those unimaginative and uninspiring office spaces – the ones that suck the life out of you as you step over the threshold. Our ambition has always been to offer something a little bit different. 

We look for empty, unloved spaces – quite often with historic importance to the town centre – and work tirelessly with local teams to sympathetically refurbish them to bring the character of the buildings back to life. The refurbed buildings offer stylish, inspiring and functional spaces which cater for all and offer superb facilities – meeting rooms, virtual office services and business grade WiFi…not to mention, free coffee.

Top 4 considerations before we take on a business space 

We’re always on the look-out for buildings that we could make our next project but we have very specific criteria for our business spaces:

  • Great location – town centres with fantastic transport links are top of our list appealing not only to local individuals and companies, but to those from all over the UK. We want to be involved with the town centre communities to promote footfall back into the heart of our high streets and by actively promoting the use of local suppliers and amenities, we encourage our visitors and members to do the same.
  • Bags of character – we love a beam or an original piece or ironwork and we try and keep as many of the original features as we can. Sustainable and natural materials are used and any left overs are donated to local recycling centres.
  • Be a hub – we pride ourselves on our ability to build great business communities and we look for spaces that allow us to do this. Not only do we offer small business support and advice for our start-ups, but we also organise regular socials, lunch & learn and networking events to encourage our members to get to know each other. It is always satisfying to see business collaborations and friendship groups develop in our spaces. From start-ups and freelancers, to teams and long-term business owners we ensure that each and everyone is supported on their journey with us
  • Consistent subjectivity – the idea being that while experiencing all that we have to offer the client should consistently feel good, but subjectively not be aware of why!

Point of Difference Workspace Ltd, established in January 2017, continue to build a portfolio of high-quality, inspiring and creative workspaces in and around the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire area.

Along with Perch Coworking, Perch Studios, The Old Bakery, St.Edburg’s, Bicester Innovation Centre (all based in Bicester), Market House (based in Aylesbury) and Guardian House (based in Banbury), The Manse will be no.8 on the list of buildings Point of Difference have taken on and we can’t WAIT to add it to our PoD portfolio.
