A new lease of life in an historic office building in central Bicester

Buildings like this don’t come along often. When we had the chance to secure St Edburgs in 2020, we didn’t need to think twice. Originally a Church Hall, the building has retained many original features and we have sensitively refurbished it to create a modern, quality office space.

Offices range from small 2 person spaces through to the large open-plan hall with stage and mezzanine area. Leases available for the whole building or separate office areas. There are also smaller offices for meeting rooms, a board room or breakout space. The interior floods with natural light and we’ve incorporated natural materials and kept original features to make the most of it. If you do need to get away, it is very close to mainline links to London, Oxford and Birmingham with plenty of local car parking.

Andy Bedwell, Owner Point of Difference

This is such a unique and special building for Bicester – so many people have memories of it from childhood – waiting for dances, watching movies in Sunday school or even had parents that met there. We wanted to keep that feeling of it being a special space whilst creating an inspiring office for our clients.

The design therefore takes care of itself: bring back the character, retain the sense of history and let the natural light do its work. A gorgeous building to work with.

Ground floor

A light and airy open space with two meeting room pods and a small office.  You’ve got original character from the original 1870’s mosaic tile floor, through to modern office features such as air-conditioning and CAT 5 cabling throughout.  Has its own washroom areas and shower room.

First floor and mezzanines

Plenty of natural light floods in from the arched windows into a large main hall area, above which there is a stage and elevated floor.  Glass fronted 2nd floor mezzanine offices provide great spaces for either boardroom or breakout areas.  Has two washroom areas.
