Perch Coworking People 'Up Close and Personal' - No. 3

This week on Perch Coworking ‘Up-Close-and-Personal’ we talk to Rebecca Lambrianou, founder and owner of the newly formed social media agency, ‘Glow Your Socials‘. Rebecca has been a full time member of the Perch Coworking Community since the start of 2020 and uses the space on a regular basis.

Here, she shares with us her hints and tips on what’s working for her, during these unprecedented times.

Hi Rebecca, tell us about yourself and your business.

Seven years ago, I launched a multi-platform, dance-music social blog for like-minded individuals looking to connect, build friendships, communicate and share ideas/music/content and keep up to date with the latest information and events within the industry.

Fast forward to today, I run advertising campaigns for all kinds of brands, and the blog has over 100,000 followers across all platforms with high engagement rates and a heavy influence in the dance music scene.

I have recently launched my own Social Media Agency ‘Glow Your Socials’ and I’m now looking to find some new clients to partner with and help them with all their social media needs.

What are you currently working on?

During the pandemic, I started working with a few of my advertising clients from The Rave Network to help them build their brands, and manage their socials. As a direct result of enjoying interacting and helping them, I decided to launch my own agency Glow Your Socials.

Are there any resources, technology, websites, apps you may have explored during this time that you can share with others?

I really enjoy using Canva! It’s a fantastic platform for creating great graphic design even if you’re not a graphic designer!

Also, the Pomodoro Technique (a time management method) has been invaluable and I would recommend this to anyone working at home by themselves.

Survival techniques…your top 3 business tips on how you are surviving the pandemic that might be helpful to others.
  • Set yourself goals.
  • Find an accountability partner to work with if you work alone.
  • Look into ways you can diversify.

Early bird or night owl…do you break for lunch or is lunch for wimps? Share your Lockdown routine.

I always try and wake up at the same time each day, have a coffee and then it’s time to work. Working from home requires focus and I have found the Pomodoro Technique has helped me to structure my day so no time is wasted. I also recommend going on a nice walk! I have found a really nice 5 mile walk around Blenheim Palace.

And at the end of conque
ring another busy week? How do you celebrate?

A strong coffee from Starbucks!

What did you love about Perch when you worked there?

I miss Perch so much. I can’t wait to come back, be more productive and see all of the friendly faces! I’m not a fan of working from home, and as soon as the doors open, I will be the first one there!

Thank you, Rebecca…some valuable information in there that I’m sure others will find inspiring. We’ll look forward to welcoming you back again very soon!
