Hero’s story…A national journalist with over 25 years’ experience with top broadsheets and glossy magazines, Hero has been Editor of the Independent on Sunday magazine, Deputy Editor of Red magazine and a freelance features writer for Elle, Marie Claire, The Telegraph and The Times. Early accolades include in 2018 Hero was named as a Digital Pioneer and in 2019, one of the UK’s 50 most inspiring women by the Daily Mail mas well as being listed in PR Week’s Power Book. In 2020 Muddy Stilettos was named as one of the Top 20 NextGen UK media brands. She also recently appeared on Channel 4 as an expert on The Hotel Inspector with Alex Polizzi. 

Muddy Stilettos began life at Hero’s kitchen table soon after she moved out of London with a desire to discover the local area’s bests kept secrets. Starting in Bucks & Oxon, the luxury  lifestyle publisher how now expanded to 23 regions across the UK and employs a team of 80 talented women + amazing (and very patient) bloke! A huge part of Muddy’s success can be attributed to Hero’s unique ability to talk directly, intimately, honestly and with trust to engaged readers at a local level.
